Since 1879, Sacred Heart has high quality academic programs integrated with religious truth and values that prepare students for lifeand leadership in both society and the Church of tomorrow. We provide a strong, basic and contemporary curriculum which includes instruction and formation in the beliefs, values and traditions of Catholic Christianity.
Today, Sacred Heart continues this tradition, thanks to the generous support of our donors. In addition to tuition, Sacred Heart is supported by variety of revenue streams, including contributions from Sacred Heart Church, the annual Sacred Heart Bazaar, Oktoberfest, investment income, and other volunteer-initiated campaigns throughout the year. As the school looks toward the future, we are taking a proactive approach to ensure our longevity and our commitment to academic quality.
In 2023-2024, Sacred Heart began accepting Education Freedom Accounts that families may use for private school tuition and fees. These funds, combined with fundraising revenue and donor support, allowed the school to substantially increase faculty and staff compensation to be more competitive with public school starting salaries, which increased by 38% under the LEARNS Act. Sacred Heart also invested in new and expanded programs for students and continues our commitment to ensuring access to a Catholic education for all families, regardless of means, by providing need-based tuition assistance.
We ask you, our strongest supporters, to join us in this effort.
As you are likely aware, significant changes have taken place in the education sector over the past four years. This is especially true in Arkansas with the introduction of Education Freedom Accounts that may be used to pay for private school tuition. This, along with the generosity of our faithful supporters, has allowed Sacred Heart to make the following improvements:
As we continue to adapt to the changes in school funding, donor support is critical to building on the improvements that have been made. You can help support this work with your one-time or monthly Project Promise donation.
Project Promise recognizes donors who commit to a monthly donation to Sacred Heart Catholic School through ongoing credit card payments or bank drafts. This includes any donor who gives at least $15/month to the school’s annual fund. For as Pope John Paul said, “… no Catholic school can be effective without dedicated Catholic teachers, convinced of the great ideal of Catholic education. The Church needs men and women who are intent on teaching by word and example – intent on helping to permeate the whole educational milieu with the spirit of Christ. This is a great vocation, and the Lord himself will reward all who serve in it as educators in the cause of the word of God.” – Message of John Paul II to the National Catholic Educational Association of the United States, April 16, 1979
